The fall schedule of AMTSociety's IA Renewal Consortium started out with a boom! A sonic boom, that is. The space shuttle re-entered the earth's atmosphere and landed at Edwards Air Force Base just after setup was complete Friday afternoon for the September 12th Aircraft Maintenance Training/IA Renewal Consortium at Crimson Technical College in Inglewood, CA.
AMTSociety welcomed 60 Aircraft Maintenance Professionals to the IA Renewal. Table top exhibitors including Haskell, International, Inc., Waterman Aircraft Appraisers, Inc., Barfield, Inc. and FAA first Federal Credit Union were on hand to display their products and services. The eight hours of training included seminars from industry experts like Honeywell, FedEx, Standard Aero, FAA, Bell Helicopter and Davidson Aviation. Our thanks to all of these companies for their support of AMTSociety and its IA Renewal Program.
AMTSociety's Inglewood, CA IA Renewal was the first of 12 IA Renewals scheduled for the fall and spring. Each seminar meets the requirements contained in FAR 65.93(A)(4) for Inspection Authorization (IA) renewal training and is acceptable towards 8 hours of training for IA renewal and the FAA AMT Awards Program.
