AMTSocietyAMTScholarship Program The AMTScholarships are one way the AMTSociety is committed to help ensure that future aircraft maintenance technicians are recognized for their desire to enter into the skilled aircraft maintenance profession. The AMTScholarships were created to financially assist those currently working towards their credentials to become certified aircraft maintenance professionals as well as assist those already certified in furthering their professional education and training.
Three AMTScholarships are presented each year. The three scholarships are named after individuals who have spent their professional careers in promoting and advancing the skilled craft of the AMT:
All AMTScholarship applications will be reviewed by the AMTSociety Council Members and Executive Director. In the event that the Council Members are evenly split on two separate applicants, the AMTSociety Executive Director will make the final decision on granting the scholarship.
Applicants who are awarded an AMTScholarship will be notified by telephone and mail as well as recognized at Aviation Industry Expo. Winners will be posted on the AMTSociety website and mentioned in AMT Magazine. AMTScholarships will be sent directly to the successful applicant's chosen FAR Part 147 aviation certified school or professional training provider.
